You are looking at a 1968 Corvette with a late 70s Mako Shark style body on it! My friends say this looks like "The Dark Night" car. It's really a cool looking and sounding ride! It has a 454cid engine with monster sized headers on it, and of course sidepipes to let it out. It has a 4 speed transmission and this car drives nice! Exterior wise, as you can see, the car looks nice. Overall, the silver paint on the top has some checking, still has good shine, just some checking. The black paint seems to be in better shape, and has a good shine. Overall, I would call it a 6.5 ot 7 on a good day. Has one small crack on left rear bumper. The body from what I can tell is a 1981 body, with of course the headlight mods, the Maco style hood, and rear flares. The sidepips are in great shape, the crome is like new. All glass is in great shape with no cracks. Interior wise, from what I can see it is an original interior from a 1981 to match the body. And it is in great shape aside from the carpet on the driver side. This is all original interior and it is in beautiful shape, even the rubber in the doors is nice. The seats have average wear and tear from normal use, but are in good shape with no major rips or tears. As I said, drivers side carpet is needing help, the rest of the carpet is nice and original, including the rear trunk area. Both rear hatches are in great shape, look almost new on the inside. The center console and shift plate are in great shape, original. The car has power windows, both go up and down well. It is missing the water temp gauge, other than that, all gauges work, including speedometer and odometer! All lights work as well as turn signals. Steering wheel is in excellent shape as well as dash top and pocket. Underside of t-tops are excellent! Mechanically, I can see the engine is a 454 with headers, and sidepipes and a 4 barrel holley carburator. I just had the carb rebuilt, even though it looked brand new, and it runs better than it did in the video. It has new plug wires and new plugs as well. The transmission is a 4 speed and feels great, clutch is solid as well. Tires are like new and rims are in great shape. The car has no rust on the frame underneath. Steering is very responsive and it handles well. 105,180 miles. August 2, 2008. |
